I think the numbers are much higher than 1%. The good old boys network doesn’t help the cop’s cause, either. When they see a bad cop, they turn the other way. It’s a bad situation. 99% of all cops are good decent people. They are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. They help their kids with homework and take them to games. They come with black, brown and white skin. The very people who argue that 99% percent of the protesters are peaceful cannot see that 99% of cops are decent people. There is no room for “decent” cops. If the best you can be is “decent” then get an office job. Police should hold themselves to a higher level, they literally make life and death decisions and if you don’t hold ALL human life in the UTMOST regard then you have no business having that power. Every criminal is someone’s son or daughter and we don’t know what they went through to cause them to commit a crime so we have no right to treat them like less than human no matter the crime. A cops FIRST duty should be the preservation of life and liberty followed by the apprehension of criminals. If you have to choose between letting someone get away and killing you let them get away and catch them later. Enough us enough !!! Just what do they want??????? It’s shameful , hue long can thus go on??? Innocent lives are being hurt , it’s not solving anything! When re people going to stop calling them protesting and call them what they are.
