If you want the tried and true gas can with handle lever that opens cap, they aren’t hard to find at flea markets for 5-$10 and they are all steel.Sold my plastic ones and will never go back! They must have an amazing training program because the ability of a government bureaucrat to identify a problem that does not exist, apply a solution that does not work, then pass a statute requiring it be implemented nationwide does not come naturally. I’ve spilled more gas trying to use these at my own home than in the last 50 years. And as a kid I mowed 15 lawns. Seems they work well 2 or 3 times then something breaks and mechanism doesn’t work We need people in government who have actually worked in labor intensive jobs who got their hands & arms & knees dirty working in muddy, oily conditions on farms, on motors, factories, etc. and no more ‘Boroughcrats’ who worked their whole lives in government and think they know what’s best for us! We were Right on the brink of a wave of revolutionary gas can designs. Companies were experimenting with hundreds of different shapes and combinations of materials to build unspillable easy to use inexpensive gas cans. And then BAM uncle same swings in and requires all of them to have some ridiculously complicated spout and vent system. Companies that had designed unspillable cans had to scrap all of their designs and start from scratch. Now decent gas cans cost $40 and us regular people are forced to buy cans at yard sales and flea markets because nothing on the market is safe to use without getting fuel dumped all over you.
