Do they really ‘understand’ the dog before making judgment that she ‘isn’t ready for public’? She was about to be put down because human can’t approach her, but the point is is that her fault? Look how she’s changed after this lady didn’t give up on her! Can you still say she ‘isn’t ready for the public’? she’s far from ready for the public. They would not have been able to give her the time that Nate and Remi has. Ara has bitten and nipped Nate several times when he’s not even approached her. She only trusts Remi but they are giving her time and trust. Nate has trained dogs before and has knowledge anf their two other dogs help but it’s a really long road for Ara and her new family, they don’t give up on her though. correct..human decide based on their perception…they have to understand animal behaviour first…see how this dog changes character in the company of a good person.

I dont understand why they would rescue a dog to put it down when there was someone willing to take the animal. Glad it all worked out but seems v odd. it is necessary to find someone experienced for certains dogs like ara for example…some dogs has been so abused by humans that they would attack even kill just because they are too scared… so certains dogs need long time commitment to train, to exercise and to heal… See you should never give up on animals. Its so sad to know there are a lot of lovely animals that get put down through no fault of their own. Its us humans who put them there. Its so sad. I would pick an animal over a human any day.

I can’t believe the shelter would put her down instead of investing a bit more time to socialise her. I’m glad there was someone with sense able to see the right person was willing to free this lovely dog. It is terribly sad to think of all the dogs that, with this kind of effort, could become good pets but are put down because there isn’t anyone to put in the work. God bless you and Ara. I’m trying to adopt a pitbull from my local shelter. I just hope that I get it done. This dog is so amazing. I live in an apartment building that has a list of breeds that are frowned upon and I am going to try to change all of that.
