I love Lego, and this looks so cool, but I can’t justify spending 400 bucks on one set. I wish they split them up and you could purchase your favorites. I have a high risk pregnancy and am down most of the time, this is how he and I have been spending time together. Our first goal is to finish the castle and its grounds, but oh my gosh yes to this.

  • Great set but too expensive for a single purchase. Should break into the four defined segments and do separate sets. Makes a lot more sense. I know the price to brick/figure ratio is pretty decent. But its still a hell of a lot money. It couldve been sold in smaller sets (like The Weeping Willow, Big Hall and The Clock Tower) which would combine in a bigger set
  • I better start saving money again. It doesn’t have Gringotts? The amount of money I spent on this franchise is crazy but I can’t seem to be able to stop. Wasn’t happy with Burrow but then again that’s a hard one. If there is anything he loves as much as Harry Potter it is legos….we got him the Patronus set for his birthday and he still carries the Harry and Stag figurines with him everywhere…..so basically all of my parenting dreams are coming true.

I’m soooo in love but this is sooo expensive. I can’t keep up lol. I agree with people who suggest breaking it into 4 different smaller sets.

The price to piece ratio means nothing today. The original Cafe Corner had 2056 pieces and was $139.99. Obviously that was in 2007. But that kit had actual bricks. 1×8, 1×6, etc. Real pieces. Today’s kits have tons of tiny pieces, 1×1 plates, etc. Just filling these kits with tiny pieces and saying “oh, well this kit is has 4000 pieces, that’s why its so expensive”. Well most of the pieces are tiny and not even bricks. Just another way to justify the high prices.

I had a puzzle 3d Hogwarts train but it got broke I was so sad  and I also had half of the castle but guess what that got broke to. Next time I get a set I’m gonna glue the pieces together as I go
