A women in our neighborhood who’s daughter texted her last night as she was leaving her shift at Piedmont said they are at 100% capacity in ICU. Deaths do lag infection rates so all I can say is wait. This is going to get worse before it gets better. Very sad how our nation is handling this disease. Very sad. I choose science. what science? Science has been wrong on corona the whole damn time and has obviously been manipulated to control the sheeple. First it was 2-3% death rates, then oops only .30. It was only medical masks will do and don’t touch anything, now oh it doesn’t transmit well on surfaces and just go ahead make a mask out of your underwear, that’ll be enough. As long as you follow your local tyrants orders to hide in your home you’ll be just fine. Oh unless you want to protest against trump or whiteness, then you may partake in large social gatherings because corona doesn’t spread there. Ridiculous. To all those commenting here who don’t believe this pandemic is real or refuse to wear a mask, social distance, wash hands, etc., here is a look into your future if you happen to be infected serious enough to end up in ICU.

Well said. I certainly appreciate what you and your fellow health care workers. You are certainly correct tha wearing masks is health care issue NOT a political one. Bless you. We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.
